“Estate-grown and partly (33 per cent) hand-picked in the lower Awatere Valley, the 2021 vintage (4.5*) was fermented in tanks (mostly) and a mix of clay amphorae, concrete eggs and oak barrels. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a distinctive wine, medium to full-bodied, with very good intensity of vigorous, ripely herbaceous flavours, fresh acidity, considerable complexity and a crisp, dry finish.” 4.5 STARS

2020 Loveblock Central Otago Pinot Noir

“The graceful 2020 vintage (4*) was mostly (90 per cent) estate-grown at Bendigo, and blended with a small proportion of fruit (10 per cent) from the company’s estate vineyard in the lower Awatere Valley, Marlborough. Full, bright ruby, it has a fragrant, fresh, slightly spicy bouquet. Mouthfilling and youthful, it is vibrantly fruity, with lively acidity, good concentration of cherry, plum and spice flavours, and gentle tannins. Best drinking 2023+.” 4 STARS
