Bright, medium straw-yellow with a golden hue, even colour throughout. Elegantly-full bouquet, packed with intense aromas of saffron, candied orange peel, lemon basil, lemon zest, underlying honeysuckle, complexing nuances interwoven softly.
Medium-bodied, crisp and mouthwatering aromas of pink grapefruit, lemon basil, saffron forms a good core, melded with scallions, candied orange peels. Bright, thirst-quenching acidity provides freshness to the rich and complexing flavours. A light phenolic grip is slightly unctuous, flow smoothly and provides some grip and chewiness for the palate.
This is a complex and highly flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc with exotic flavours of saffron, pink grapefruit, spicy herbal and floral elements, thirst-quenching and full of interest.
Match with five-spice pork belly and whitebait fritters over the next 2-3 years.
