2017 Loveblock Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – Organic & Vegan Friendly

“Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, paler on the rim. The nose is fresh and full with soft, voluminous aromas of green stonefruits and passionfruit along with notes of tropical fruits, unveiling notes of cut grass, nettles and capsicums. The fruit has cool-spectrum characteristics. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant in presentation with crisp, lacy avidity enlivening the mouthfeel. The fruit flavours are soft and restrained with a core of pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit, along with fresh herbs, unfolding notes of nettles and cut grass. The fruit has good presence and forms a rounded heart and the wine flows along a light, phenolic-textured line with fresh acidity providing energy and drive. The wine carries to a dry, crisp, finely-textured, mouthwatering finish. This Sauvignon Blanc has cool-spectrum aromas and a palate with good presence and soft fruit flavours. Match with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Woolshed’ vineyard and tank-fermented with 10% in barrels to 12.0% alc. and 5.0 g/L RS, 25% of the tank portion undergoing MLF with 10% Pinot Gris blended in.
