Winery uses green tea as natural wine preservative
When husband and wife winemaking duo Erica and Kim saw green tea was a New Zealand registered wine additive, the pair had to give it a go.
Loveblock founder Erica Crawford is from South Africa, and was inspired by similar practices from her home country, where winemakers had replaced sulphur, with rooibos powdered tea.
The green tea ingredient used in the Loveblock wine was also in a powder form, sourced from Italy.
